Please go through orkut scraps to RSS Reader, which explains how to convert your orkut scrapbook and community topics to RSS feed; so that you can check updates without logging in to your orkut account.

Since, RSS feeds are not supported by Internet Explorer 6 you can make Google talk as a feed reader by adding Anothr bot (anothr@gmail.com) as your contact and IM your orkut scrapbook feed url to subscribe. So, next time when someone leaves a scrap in your scrapbook, it will notify you.

Using Anothr you can subscribe to your favorite blogs, news, RSS .etc. read updates, manage and share them online. To get more help about Anothr, IM ? or help to Anothr and to manage your account log in to Anothr by clicking the link provided. Anothr bot can be added in msn (msn0006@anothr.com) and skype(anothr.com) to get just-in-time notifications.

Is accessing mail sites blocked at your school, office or organisation? There is an alternate way to access the restricted mail sites i.e. WAP sites. WAP sites load faster and are quite handy for both dial-up users and if your Internet traffic plan charges per byte transferred.

1. Google:- visit, http://www.google.com/xhtml?hl=en i.e. Google WAP site and you can search, access Gmail and Google News .

2. Yahoo:- Yahoo mail, Messenger, Cricket .etc. can be accessed by visiting http://wap.yahoo.com, and selecting your country.

3. msn:- msn mobile can be accessed at, http://mobile.live.com/pocketpc/default.aspx?mkt=en-US, where you can check your hotmail and live spaces .etc. Change mkt=xxx and access it in your language, e.g. mkt=es to access it in Spanish language.

4. Rediff:- rediff WAP site can accessed at http://mobile.rediff.com, where you can check your mail, news .etc.

*Note:- Some WAP sites work only in Firefox web browser and require the wml browser plugin to be installed.

Acquisition of Feedburner by Google has been justified now i.e integration of Feedburner and Blogger. They have introduced a feed redirection feature so that if you are a Blogger publisher and feed on Feedburner then you can redirect native blogger-hosted feed traffic to Feedburner feed.

To do so, go to settings -> Site feed and enter your feedburner feed in the "Post Feed Redirect URL" field.

So, there won't be some subscribers for native blogger-hosted feed and some for feedburner. More importantly, in case you want to leave Feedburner (though I won't) you can change the "Post Feed Redirect URL" field with the new feed url. In that case, your surscribers won't be left helpless.

I am guessing what next, integration of Google Adsense or Analytics with Feedburner!

*Note: This feature can be used with any other feed manager and only with Feedburner alone.

Atlast, I am on twitter! (better late than never). Those who do not know about twitter check out information at wiki.

In simple words, twitter is a free service to tell the world (your friends or strangers) what are you doing right row and knowing their part. twitter was born out of the offices of Obvious corp. (the same that developed Blogger).

You can add twitter@twitter.com in Google Talk and verify your account (settings -> Phone & IM, after logging in to twitter) so that you can update yourself on twitter by send it an IM.

Now, a badge for blogger has been released so that you can easily display your twitter updates in your blog's sidebar.

Google has launched few more official blogs; for Blogger in Draft, Orkut and Gmail.

Blogger in Draft is a special version of Blogger where you can try out new features before official release i.e beta testing of Blogger lab products. Good thing about this blog is, it has comment enabled i.e you can discuss the features and give feedback.

It has been more than 3 years since orkut launched, an official blog has been released now and the first post is from the founder himself. Though comment is not enabled, you can mail your thoughts and suggestions.

In the row, Google has launched official blog for Gmail too. In this blog they'll "highlight interesting and useful posts from elsewhere" along with "feature updates, productivity tips, and some insights into the people and the technology behind Gmail". But, both comment and feedback mail are disabled for it.
